Black Rock Forest Science Summer Camp registration is now open! Please note that this is a DAY camp.

The deadline to apply is Thursday July 8th, 2019, and classes will fill on a first come first served basis.

Black Rock Forest welcomes middle school students to Summer Science Camp for a week-long experience in nature, working directly with professionals and scientists. The camp's focus is on understanding nature through scientific observation and investigation. Classes are developed and taught by subject experts, providing an opportunity to explore college and career possibilities while having fun at Black Rock Forest in Cornwall, NY.

New this year:

  • NEW! Scientific Illustration: Rendering Beauty with Christina Perez, Illustrator and Designer, B.F.A. Savannah College of Art and Design: This class teaches the fundamentals of sketching as applied to the natural beauty of Black Rock Forest. 

  • NEW! Deeper Investigation of Discovery and Writing with Rob Balch, English Teacher at Beacon Middle and High School: Building on the existing writing course, this class offers students the opportunity to dive deeper into their personal and collective experiences from within the forest.

Ages: 11 to 15
