Registration Deadlines for PreK, K, and Middle School for the 2024-2025 School Year

  • Middle School deadline was Friday, December 8, 2023.
  • A Virtual Kindergarten Open House was on Monday, December 11. Please feel free to watch this recording of the open house. 
  • Kindergarten deadline is January 19, 2024. Application opens December 5, 2023.
  • PreK deadline is March 1, 2024. Application opens January 10, 2024.

Why is TCCS unique?

TCCS is a PreK-8 New York City public school that opened in 2011 through a partnership of the NYC DOE and Teachers College. Students are admitted by lottery with preference to students in Districts 5 & 6. TCCS has grown by one grade each year and graduated its first 8th grade class in 2020. TC provides over $1 million each year in expertise, services, and other resources. TC faculty and graduate students support student learning through curriculum development; student teachers, tutors, and interns; academic enrichment; professional development for teachers; and fundraising.

Admissions Lottery

Lottery Selection Priorities for Admission
  1. District 5 (map) and 6 (map) residents whose siblings will be enrolled in grades K-8 at TCCS in September 2024.
  2. Students who live outside of Districts 5 and 6 whose siblings will be enrolled in grades K-8 at TCCS in September 2024.
  3. District 5 or 6 residents who are currently enrolled in PreK at TCCS.
  4. Students who reside outside of Districts 5 and 6 who are currently enrolled at the school in PreK.
  5. District 5 and 6 residents.
  6. Students who live outside of Districts 5 and 6.
