PTA Activities

The PTA looks forward to supporting our TCCS students, families, and staff by hosting, sponsoring, and/or facilitating the below activities — 

  • The Welcome Back Picnic in August/September
    A time for all grades to connect before each school year starts! There's food, there's uniforms, there's games, there's music (and sometimes karaoke). 

  • First Day of School Welcome Table
    The first day of school can be exciting, calm, nerve-wracking, chaotic, all of the above, and more. We are excited to welcome all our families back, as well as provide uniforms for sale, and our first PTA calendar invite of the year. 

  • Monthly Parent Coffee Socials 
    Alternating at cafes nearby both the Upper and Lower School, socials are a great time to connect with families, receive updates, share feedback, and grab a coffee or tea — all before 10 am. 

  • Giving Thanks Family Potluck
    This TCCS favorite is a time for families to connect, spend time, and give thanks for one another and our community. Families prepare their best dishes for this after school gathering.

  • TCCS Bake Sales
    Families (including students) bake (and consume) delicious treats — all in support of the PTA's upcoming events and TCCS students. 

  • Winter Soirée
    The Winter Soiree is our annual night of dancing, connecting, and celebrating the New Year — but just for parents! All ticket profits go towards funding the PTA's events for the rest of the year.
 
  • Spring Fling
    Spring Fling is our annual spring kickoff event. It's a day where we invite all things fun to Morningside Ave — a bouncy house, DJ, face painting, and all things that kids adore (no matter the age, that means you, too). 

  • Irvin Simon Individual and Class Photos
    We work with Irvin Simon to ensure that students look picture-ready for both their individual and class photos. 

  • Teacher Appreciation Week
    We love our teachers and the staff of TCCS. This week is a time to amplify our appreciation. Each day of this week spotlights a different grade by celebrating their respective teachers, and their commitment to the growth of our students. 

  • Annual Holiday Teacher Gifting and End of Year Gifting
    We love our teachers and the staff of TCCS. In an effort to show our appreciation, we gift each teacher a holiday and end of year gift for their dedication to our students.
